Celebrating Our Amazing Teachers 🍎

On October 5th, we celebrated World Teachers' Day, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredible teachers at John Brant. Every day, they show up with patience, kindness, and care for our students. They offer an encouraging word, a listening ear, and a safe place to learn and grow. The caring things they do each and every day often go unnoticed, but they make a lasting difference in the lives of our students. We are so grateful for them! Please take a moment to thank a teacher this week.

Parking Lot Safety Around the Buses 🚌

The safety of our students and families is our top priority. We are asking everyone to help keep our parking lot safe, especially around the buses. Please do not cross the bus path while walking, biking, or riding a scooter. Buses have blind spots, and crossing in their path puts children at risk. Please take the extra moment to walk around the bus path, and remind your children to do the same. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

Athletics 🏉🏃🏐

Cross Country: Our cross country runners showed amazing Wolf pride at their recent meet! Every one of our students ran their hearts out, and we couldn't be prouder. Many of our runners are continuing to practice for the next meet, coming soon. Keep up the great work!

Junior Rugby: Junior Rugby is underway! The tournament will take place on Thursday, October 15th. Good luck to our players, and thank you to our coaches for all of their hard work and dedication. Go Wolf Pack!

Intermediate Volleyball: Intermediate Girls and Boys Volleyball is underway! Both teams are practicing at many breaks and working hard to get ready for the season. Way to go, Wolf Pack!

Eco Club & Bug Quest 🐛🌱

Bug Quest: You may have noticed a tent near the Forest at John Brant for the month of October. Madame Giliberti and the Eco team are participating in the University of Guelph's Bug Quest project! They are collecting bugs from our school yard and sending them in to learn more about the biodiversity living in our own backyard. Stay tuned for some amazing results!

Mayor's Youth Advisory Pumpkin Decorating Contest 🎃

After Thanksgiving weekend, teachers will receive pumpkin templates for students to design a pumpkin on paper! The teachers will go over the specific criteria the Mayor's office has shared with us, and all students are welcome to participate. Each teacher will select their class's best design and submit it to the office. On October 16th, Mr. Howell and Mrs. Gobeil will choose our school winner, who will then bring their design to life on a real pumpkin. The finished pumpkin will be submitted on Friday, October 23rd and displayed outside Fort Erie Town Hall, where the final winner will be selected. Good luck to all of our artists!

Reminder: Thanksgiving Monday & Picture Day

Please remember that Monday, October 12th is Thanksgiving Monday, and there will be no school. We wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and happy long weekend with those you love.

Picture Day is Thursday October 15th: We look forward to seeing those amazing smiles!
